Derthona Regina

What’s in it? 100% Timorasso grapes

How is it made? Harvested by hand in mid-September. The grapes are soft-pressed, the must cold-settled, and then fermented at controlled temperature. From there, 11 months in stainless steel on fine lees, regularly stirred through bâtonnage to preserve signature aromatics. Seven more months in bottle before release.

What does it taste like? Derthona Timorasso deals in surprise and complexity. The attack is crisp and calls up citrus fruit and red-apple skin. The middle is dewy, peachy, and flowing with hints of honeyed almonds. Finally, the finish is a warm breeze of spice and cedar. As for acidity, this wine gently electrifies your palate from your first sip to your last taste.

What should it be paired with? This Derthona Timorasso is the perfect match for a mushroom or truffle risotto, any grilled fish and fresh seafood, as well as for seasoned white meats and aged, or blue cheeses.

How long can it be kept? 10- 15 years or more.

Monleale Brando

What’s in it? 100% Barbera grapes

How is it made? A classic red vinification. The juice is macerated with skins, seeds and stalks for 10 days. Then fermented in stainless steel, with regular remontage to extract more color and tannins for the finished product. The wine is aged almost two years in French oak barriques for complexity and structure, then bottled for 6 months before release.

What does it taste like? The palate is intense and vibrant, with hints of ripe red fruits, spice, and licorice. The French oak adds to the complexity with subtle notes of vanilla, toast and chocolate.

What should it be paired with? The Brando is the ideal wine for grilled meats, roasted or braised lamb, mushroom-forward dishes (like risotto) or tomato-focused dishes, and aged cheeses (Parmigiano Reggiano).

How long can it be kept? 10-15 years or more.

Leonida

What’s in it? 100% Croatina grapes

How is it made? Grapes handpicked mid-September. Juice is macerated for 10 days with skins, then fermented in stainless steel at ambient temperature, with regular remontage for color and tannins. The wine is aged 8 months in stainless steel tanks, then bottled for two years before release.

What does it taste like? This wine showcases a lush variety of ripe red fruits like cherries, raspberries and plums. Notes of spice, fresh herbs and violets give it freshness. The tannins are soft, the acidity is lively, and a hint of licorice completes this complex, expressive wine.

What should it be paired with? The Leonida pairs perfectly with grilled meats, roasted or braised lamb, eggplant parmigiana, stuffed peppers and aged cheeses.

How long can it be kept? 10-15 years or more.

Pink, Rosé

What’s in it? A carefully selected blend of local grapes from the Colli Tortonesi region, including Barbera grapes.

How is it made? This rosé is vinified gently and with minimal intervention. The grapes are handpicked at optimal ripeness, then immediately pressed to extract pure, fresh juice with minimal color extraction from the skins. The must is then fermented at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks to preserve the wine’s fruity, aromatic DNA. The wine is also aged in stainless steel to maintain its original expression.

What does it taste like? A lush, vibrant field of strawberries and raspberries, sprinkled with rose petals and citrus zest. This wine is crisp, lively, and most of all, persistent.

What should it be paired with? This rosé is the ideal partner for seafood, light pasta dishes, salads and grilled vegetables, and fresh cheeses like mozzarella or burrata. It can be enjoyed as an aperitivo or during the meal.

How long can it be kept? 1-2 or more.
