Since more than two centuries, the Davico family has cultivated vineyards among the rolling hills of south-eastern Piedmont. Today, Stefano Davico continues this tradition together with his family, producing wines that express the character of the terroir, its native grape varieties and a lifelong dedication to farming.
Rooted in family
The story of Davico Stefano began in the early nineteenth century, when the Davico ancestors started cultivating the land between Montemarzino and Monleale.
The estate has remained fully family-owned ever since, passing down knowledge, passion and respect for the countryside from one generation to the next.
Stefano began working on the farm when he was just over ten years old. After more than sixty harvests, he still works every day among the vineyards and peach trees, supported by his family and guided by a deep understanding of the land.
Wines shaped by the Colli Tortonesi
The Davico Stefano estate lies at approximately 400 metres above sea level, in the Colli Tortonesi area of Piedmont.
Here, the influences of the Ligurian Sea and the Po Valley meet, creating distinctive conditions for the cultivation of traditional local grape varieties.
The vineyards are located along the 45th parallel, the imaginary line positioned halfway between the Equator and the North Pole, often considered an ideal latitude for the production of great wines.
